Q1 General Body Meeting
"Education is for improving the lives of others and for leaving your community and world better than you found it. Education is a precondition to survival in America today." ~ Marian Wright Edelman
Welcome back Village! Congratulations on the first weeks of school. We have heard some incredible feedback and look forward to elevating those stories in our newest community conversation series around the strengthening in our feeder pattern - Building together, anchored in hope!
These conversations will focus on our school's incredible connection and how to strengthen that connection over the next year - ensuring our feeder pattern. Each meeting has a theme that will allow us, as the Village, to continue to close that empathy gap. More specifically, it creates language and increases resources in closing the digital divide in our traditional schools. Please take a moment to add these dates/times/locations to your calendars. Our first conversation is scheduled for Wednesday, September 28, from 6pm-7:30pm at the Woodridge Neighborhood Library where we will discuss the technology needs in our neighborhood schools and community spaces.
Subsequent dates, times, and locations are as follows:
November, (date) at 6pm-7:30pm
Location: TBD

January, (date) at 6pm-7:30pm
Location: TBD

March, (date) at 6pm-7:30pm

As a community it is our goal, dare we say our responsibility to impact the thoughts, the ideas, the culture and the ways we can move them forward in support of our most incredible - our students/scholars.

General Body Meeting - Parent Town Hall
We, The Village, cordially invite you to join us for our final community conversation and June general body meeting Parents' Town Hall, Thursday, June 16 at 7pm.
We are intentionally looking to partner with families and neighbors to close our series on our guiding principles. This final conversation for the year will center around our guiding principle of hope. Our commitment, as a Village, is to center and elevate the voices of our community. And as a part of that goal, we chose to create space for our parents/guardians to speak to hope restored during trying times and the hope required for our student and scholars' futures.
Please join us in elevating and celebrating this year's triumphs despite transitions. Registration link can be found HERE. Please feel free to share with your teachers, staff and friends!
